With continued growth throughout 2018, we’re really pleased to have created new career paths for two aspiring young accountants.
Rachael Walton and Tabitha Lawer have joined us as Apprentice Accounts Assistants – providing valuable support to clients and the team whilst studying for professional qualifications.
Rachael Walton joins with accountancy practice experience gained at Devon-based firms after studying her A-levels. She moved to Cornwall in the summer and will now study the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 4 exams at Cornwall College.
Rachael said, “I’m really pleased to be given the opportunity to continue my professional studies in such a supportive environment.”
For Tabitha, it’s her first role in the profession after taking the decision to pursue an apprenticeship whilst completing AAT Level 2 with a view to moving to Levels 3 and 4. Explaining her decision, Tabitha said, “I actually worked over the summer at Whyfield on a work experience placement and saw first-hand what a great place it is. Taking an apprenticeship here, with the chance to earn and learn, feels like the best decision I have made!”
Laura Whyte, managing director at Whyfield, said, “We’re delighted to welcome two bright new apprentices to the firm. Both Rachael and Tabitha have settled in really well and we are impressed with their commitment to client work and studies. We look forward to seeing them flourish here.”
