Jess Polglase
Accounts Assistant
Jess is the newest addition to the Whyfield team, starting as an Accounts Assistant in early March 2025. She’ll be supporting our clients and team of accountants with reviewing and reconciling transactions, preparing management accounts, VAT returns, financial statements, and more.
She loves working on accounts and thinks of them as detective work – finding errors and correcting them – while using her ‘maths-brain’ to help other people in their work. Plus, she loves a neat and clean Excel spreadsheet… we know she’ll fit right in!
Before joining the team, Jess spent over eight years working for a Cornish arts charity, progressing from Administrator to Finance Officer. During this time, she completed her AAT Level 4 at Truro College. She also has a Fine Art: Painting and Drawing degree under her belt, which she completed in 2013 with First Class Honours!
Jess said that she was drawn (no pun intended) to work at Whyfield because of our excellent reputation with the quality of our work and our 4-day working week… that’s a hard one not to love!
When Jess isn’t in the office, you’ll most likely find her walking her dog, Dolly, attending baby groups or enjoying arts and crafts with her little boy, sewing and mending clothes, creating collaged pet portraits, and uncovering charming cafés for lunch.
