We’re pleased to announce that we were a double runner up at the CCB Excellence in Business Training Awards held on 18th July.
We’re so proud to have been nominated for Outstanding Commitment to Apprenticeships (1-50 employees) and also for Outstanding Commitment to Training (1-50 employees) which clearly demonstrates our commitment to the talent of the future.
The CCB are the training arm of The Cornwall College Group and the award ceremony took place at St Kew, near Wadebridge at a very cool festival style event.
We currently have five apprentices on different levels working through courses at Cornwall College while at the same time they gain invaluable, hands-on experience, working at the company. We pay for all membership and exam fees and offer a flexible, family approach to the way we work.
With regards to training, every single member of the Whyfield team has undergone training in the last 12 months in areas such as Mental Health First Aid, Xero and QuickBooks packages and GDPR. This training is in addition to the formal professional qualifications that the firm supports which includes CIMA, ACCA and CTA.
Apprentices at Whyfield have a clear pathway to success and only need to look at our Managing Director Laura Whyte and Operations Director Roxane Neave who themselves have been on significant ‘apprenticeship to directorship’ journeys.
“We’re incredibly proud of our strong apprenticeship and training record here at Whyfield so it is great to see it formally recognised. I’d like to congratulate all of the winners and finalists, along with Cornwall College, who do so much to inspire Cornwall’s future business leaders” said Laura.
