We are excited to have some good news to share with you.
Keeping a clean, healthy workplace is on all of our minds as we think about and plan for a return to work when the lockdown rules ease.
Back in March, we were recognised for our efforts in creating just that for our team, receiving two awards from The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Healthy Workplace Award.
Over the past year, we have made a conscious effort to create a workplace that encourages a positive lifestyle.
We have acknowledged and engaged in annual health campaigns such as World Mental Health Day, taking important steps to reduce work-related stress and anxiety.
At the beginning of this year, we pledged to put 25 mental health first aiders into workplaces.
Recent events have not only put the implementation of these plans on hold but have made it more important than ever before to introduce them in workplaces for those who struggle with their own mental health and wellbeing.
You can read more about these plans in our post from earlier this year.
We have also taken part in alcohol awareness sessions and the time to change pledge.
The Healthy Workplace team have supported us with healthy eating and healthy weight sessions, physical activity sessions, mindfulness, sleep workshops and more.
On winning our Silver award we have proven to have a workplace that is both inclusive and healthy that promotes the wellbeing of all the team.
As a newcomer to the awards, we were very excited and proud to receive the award for Best Newcomer.
You can learn more about these awards, Healthy Cornwall and what they do at their website.
