We’ve received an email asking for a signature from “us” at Whyfield, on a Tax Return Engagement Letter.

THIS EMAIL IS NOT FROM US.

The email address that sent the letter is the giveaway here, but the rest of the email does look very convincing.

This is a reminder to please remain vigilant and not to click on anything without first double checking if it is something you should be clicking on.

If you are ever unsure about an email, and you sense something suspicious, please screenshot the email (including email address) and send it in a separate email to contact@whyfield.co.uk (please do not forward this email).

HMRC recommend the National Cyber Security Centre’s 6 Top Tips to be Cyber Aware:

2. Create a strong password using three random words
3. Save your passwords in your browser
4. Turn on two-factor authentication
5. Update your devices
6. Turn on backup
